It captures the exact moment where a mud poll explodes intensely and throws a myriad fragments into the air.
A fast shutter technique was employed to completely freeze the fragments in the air and eternalize this beautiful natural phenomenon.
My goal was to capture as big as an explosion as possible and to get as many fragments up in the air...
I wanted something intense, something powerful, something to make us feel the beauty of nature in its full splendor...
To get this shot, I spent more than 3 hours around the mud pool with my camera ready and shooting every time I saw a mud explosion.
In the end, I took a total of 1755 photos on this shoot and this is definitely one of my very favorites.
The warm orange tones combined with the powerful explosion and myriad fragments in the air just makes me feel something intense, passionate and empowering.
